The U.S. Senate has introduced the Health Insurance Coverage Protection Act (S. 2706).  This bill will raise the minimum lifetime caps in private insurance plans to $5 million for the first two years and $10 million in years three and four, with an annual inflationary update thereafter.  If adopted, this important legislation will allow people with bleeding disorders and other high-cost chronic conditions who have private insurance to maintain their health coverage and not have to seek public assistance such as Medicaid or state high-risk pools.  (Tell Me More)
