Ask Your U.S. Senators to Co-Sponsor the Health Insurance Coverage Protection Act (S. 2706)
The U.S. Senate has introduced the Health Insurance Coverage Protection Act (S. 2706). This bill will raise the minimum lifetime caps in private insurance plans to $5 million for the first two years and $10 million in years three and four, with an annual inflationary update thereafter. If adopted, this important legislation will allow people with bleeding disorders and other high-cost chronic conditions who have private insurance to maintain their health coverage and not have to seek public assistance such as Medicaid or state high-risk pools. (Tell Me More)
Please urge your two U.S. senators to co-sponsor S. 2706. Please feel free to edit the letter below with personal details about where you live, your cost of care, and why raising the lifetime insurance cap is important to you and your family.
Thank you for your help on this important legislation. Hard work by members of our community and others concerned with lifetime insurance caps have brought us this far. However, we will need everyone's help to gain additional support for this important legislation. If every representative and senator is contacted, we can make it happen.
Please remember to also send a letter to your representative.
